Welcome to Authentic Roots. We are so excited to share our beautiful salon space with you all. Owner + Founder, Lucy Wright, has been doing hair for 20 years and has worked in some of the most amazing salons, always with the dream of opening her own one day. Well, here we are! Each of the salons she has worked in taught her so much, preparing her for this next chapter. Her passion has always been hair and people and she is so fortunate to be doing her dream job working with amazing people and making them feel just as amazing when they are in her chair and out.
Lucy comes from a family of artists. She moved from England to America as a very young child when her dads artistic talents were sought out by many agencies. Growing up she was always a bit different, a bit quirky and a lot artistic. She was shy and much different than her American peers which was really hard as a child because she just wanted to be like everyone around her… Fast forward to finding her passion for hair. It allowed her to be who she was completely and authentically. She took notes along her career of what she loved about the salons and the atmosphere. Her goal for Authentic Roots is to create a safe, artistic and authentic vibe to you all while embracing culture of all kinds.
